Ronald McDonald House- Time for Life by Ariana Perez

A brave face is all that is required each week with time to give

I walk into the house not knowing what happened since my last visit

These are the thoughts I have before honoring my commitment

To know someone who is facing death and see them give you a wink and a nod

All you can do is smile back and live for the moment

Time for life is so precious, there is no time to grieve, cry and be depressed

A simple act, of kindness with a positive attitude, can have quite an impact.

Like a ripple in a pool of water when the stone is cast

A smile and a laugh, can take the pain away longer, than a tear and a cry will last

If you think it is difficult for me to endure and bare,

imagine them sharing their precious time with you to care.

To live a moment of true happiness is a noble quest

As a volunteer we bring, laughter, joy, and a big smile to fulfill this request

Robbing death of another second, we play games and enjoy life to the best

While in my heart I pray for their pain and suffering to go away and help them rest.

My day ends with air hugs and blowing kisses

Another day of joyful bliss the grim reaper will miss.
